George Church and Craig Venter got together to discuss synthetic biology during a master class held by the Edge. According to the Tierney Lab’s John Markoff, during “A Short Course on Synthetic Genetics” both Church and Venter “tried to convey how the world will be changed by the ability to routinely read genetic sequences into computing systems and then store, replicate, alter and insert them back into living cells.”
